We are so excited to announce that Alberta Open Farm Days will be happening for yet another year on August 17 and 18 – and of course, Spragg’s will be participating!
For those of you who don’t know, Alberta Open Farm Day’s is an opportunity for Albertans to connect with local farmers and through an engaging experience, learn about the farms that grew their food.
The farmers are wildly passionate and have a ton of stories to share. From planting their crops to raising their livestock, each farm will offer a unique demonstration that will be both fun and educating at the same time. Over 100+ farms and ranches will be opening up their doors and inviting you to come-on-in and take a look around for yourself.
We are located in Rosemary, Alberta, and we would love to have you pay us a visit during these two days!
Our farm is both family owned and operated. We are committed to ethical farming practices that support a healthy environment for our free-range pigs, and, of course, the community as a whole.
We (Bonnie, Greg, and Ruth Spragg) are excited to introduce you to the pigs, show you around the property, and give you the opportunity to shop our mini-farmer’s market meat shop, filled with our meat cuts and other local products from other farms in the area.
Come on out and learn how your bacon makes its way to your plate every morning and how this operation of ours got started – with three little pigs!
From farm-to-table, it doesn’t get any fresher than that!
