Dear Hunters, Our Custom Processing is Open for Business

It is officially the start of hunting season! Spragg's Meat Shop will be accepting wild game for processing in 2020. To all our hunters who are interested in bringing their wild game to our meat shop for custom processing, we have a few changes this year for you to be aware of.

We accept legally hunted wild game from September to December and offer everything from skinning, to cut and wrap, to sausage, burger patties, and jerky.
Please visit our custom processing page on our website to view our 2020 custom processing price list and the many offerings for sausage and jerky.

Some of our sausage options include:

  • Garlic sausage

  • Farmers sausage

  • Summer sausage

  • Maple breakfast sausage

  • Mild Italian sausage

  • Bratwurst grilling sausage

  • Cheese smokies

  • Hot pepperoni sticks

  • Salami

  • and so many more!

Our skinning services are offered in Rosemary, and we will receive skinned carcasses at both our Calgary and Rosemary locations.

We do expect higher than average numbers of animals coming to us between September and December due to a lack of capacity at other facilities. Please note that there may be short periods during the season where we cannot accept whole carcasses, but we will be able to accept deboned meat to make sausage.

Please call us during regular business hours before bringing your animal to us to double-check that we have the cooler space and the capacity to take your animal.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We have increased our capacity and staffing levels to accommodate as many hunters as possible. You can drop off your wild game at either of our locations; we will process your order in Rosemary and contact you when everything is complete and ready for pick-up.
